He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Christopher Bailey and Helen McCraw Bailey; and his siblings, Sheryl Glenn, C. T., Mack, Wesley and Donald Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Alva "Patsy" Reynolds Bailey; his sisters, Georgia Davis of California and Barbara Sides of Chester, Virginia.; his daughters, Helen Diggs of Tennessee and Ann King of North Carolina; and his stepdaughters, Deborah Lovette, Kathryn Vaughan and Patrica Jennings. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
