Bessie Bryant Snead Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Bryant Snead of Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on May 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Carrol Bryant and Lula Bryant Stanley; her husband Parks H. Snead, Jr.; her brothers, Herbert Bryant, Jr., Clarence Carrol Bryant and Arnold Wayne Stanley; her nephew Michael Herbert Bryant; and her nieces, Gail Ann McIver, Patricia Fetherolf Gallaher and Jeanette Bryant Braford.
She is survived by: her son Parks Snead, III; her grandchildren, Hannah Snead Cogar (Scott) and Parks Snead, IV; her great grandchildren, Jack and Harper Cogar; and her sisters-in-law, Anne Dalton Bryant, Nell Snead McIver and Nancy Tayman Stanley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
