Cathy Crump Brandell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Crump Brandell (Amherst, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert C. Crump and Marilyn S. Crump; and her brothers, Rob and Kenny. She is survived by: her husband Jack; her sister Linda Bassett (Forrest E.); her nephew Forrest R. (Paige); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brooke and Blair; her niece Lacy Shirey; her stepdaughter Rachel Brandell-Mayers (Drew); her stepgrandchildren, Ottilia and Niles; and her pets, Eli and Sadie.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church (401 N Main St, Amherst, VA 24521).
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Amherst Women's Club designated for Scleroderma research, to Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Amherst or to your local humane society.
