He was predeceased by: his mothers, Lovie H. Burch and Mary Ann Humphries; his wife Peggy Staples Burch; and his siblings, Carl, Earl Burch and Ethel Wright.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Burch-Napier (Kristie) and Monica Martin (John); his grandchildren, William Burch (Tena), Brittany McCartney, Anna Marie McCartney, John L. Martin Jr., Mary Grace Martin and Wyatt Martin; his great grandchildren, Emma, Hayden, Ethen, Nicholas and Cameron; and his brother Wesley Burch.
