He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Davis and Jessie Davis Sr.; his wife Mary Scott Davis; his siblings, Donald Davis, Cassell Davis, Jessie Davis Jr., Elnora Davis, Ella Meade, Loretta Austin and Linda Fleming; his siblings-in-law, Jessie Morton, William Austin, John Meade and Delores Moody; his granddaughter Hailey Marshall; and his great great grandchild Kaleb Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Miller (Sheryl), Lisa Morse (Daryl), Marvin Davis Jr. and Kimberly Davis-Marshall (Nathaniel); his siblings, Isadore Morton and Ernestine Williams; his siblings-in-law, Algie Williams, Robert Fleming, Amanda Davis, Arlene Davis, Marie Davis-Woodson (Burnell) and Lorraine Meade (Ronnie); his siblings' children, Evelyn Young and Lewis Davis (Wallace Higginbottom); and his close friend Julia Minnis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (160 W Court St, Amherst, VA 24521).
