He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McKinley Wydner, Sr. and Gladys Victoria Anderson Wydner; his brother William H. Wydner; and his wife Virginia Irene Davis Wydner. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Pendleton; his son-in-law Chuck Pendleton; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brockman (Eric) and Colton Pendleton; his brother John Landon Wydner (Marianne); and his sibling's children, Dana Guthrie (H. T.), Michelle Wydner, Teresa Belcher, Ann May-Arbogast (Brad) and Chad Wydner (Karen).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Driskill Chapel (201 Grandview Dr, Amherst, VA 24521). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Amherst Baptist Church (226 Lexington Turnpike, Amherst, VA 24521). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Amherst Cemetery (105 Grandview Dr, Amherst, VA 24521).
