Nora Seward Atkinson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nora Seward Atkinson of Andersonville, Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Nora may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nora touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Love and Gertie Edmonds Seward; her daughter Sallie A. Mowbray; and her siblings, Alma Brewer, Ann Acree and William "Buddy" Seward.

She is survived by: her sons, Elliott Atkinson and Allen Atkinson (Letha); her granddaughter Maggie Campbell; and her son-in-law Freddie Mowbray.

A longtime member of the Toga Fire Department Auxiliary, Nora would be pleased if memorial contributions would be made to this worthy organization.
