She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Varner; her parents, Charlie Summers and Anna Summers; and her siblings, Jimmy Summers, Sonny Charles Summers, Gary Summers, Louise Morelock and Brenda Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Michelle, Jim Taylor of Fall Branch, TN, Missy Varner Potter of Jonesborough, TN, Wendy Varner of Cumberland, KY, Dub, Heather Varner of Appalachia, VA and Derek Varner of Appalachia, VA; her grandchildren, Jim, Leah Taylor of Boonville, NC, Hunter Taylor of Fort Bragg, NC, Madison Varner of Appalachia, VA, Sydnee Varner of Appalachia, VA and Deanna Cook of Cumberland, KY; her great grandchildren, Braylee, Luke and Tanner of Boonville, NC; and her siblings, Robert Summers, Nell Long, Judy Butler, Velva Stephens and Karen Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
