He is survived by: his children, Cortney Adams (Richard) of Church Hill, TN, Jayla Ballard of Pennington Gap, VA and Kasey Ballard (Courtney) of Bristol, VA; his grandchildren, Remington, Ella, Colton, Egan, Wesson, MillieAnn and Emma; his siblings, Doug Ballard (Lisa) of Pennington Gap, VA, Freddy Ballard (Mary) of Appalachia, VA, Susie Fillmore (Jimmy) of Appalachia, VA, Brenda Harvey (Joe) of Coeburn, VA, Shirley Robbins Talbott (Craig) and DeeDee Jones (Terry) of Norton, VA; his uncle Don Eldridge (Charlene); his friend Tom Bloomer; and his close friend Shannon Maddle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
