He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. McGuire and Beulah Pardon McGuire; his children, Sheri Jean McGuire and Bernie McGuire; his brothers, Vernard McGuire and Delaney McGuire; and his foster parents, Lacy Wilkes and Alma Mae Wilkes.
He is survived by: his significant other Shelby Clarkson McGuire; his children, Teresa McGuire Hancock (Kent) of Appomattox, Clark McGuire (Kim) of Appomattox and Darlene Ayers of Kansas; and his grandchildren, James Hancock (Carrie), Nichole Yeatts (Tim), April McGuire (Dylan), Jodie McCoy (Chris) and Aubrey McGuire. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
