He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Carwile Franklin and Robert Sterling Franklin; and his siblings, Stratton, Raymond Franklin and Catherine McFall.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Megginson Franklin; his daughter Kimberly Franklin of Appomattox; his grandchildren, Kendall and Mac; and his sister-in-law Shirley Franklin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home (667 Court St, Appomattox, VA 24522). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hollywood Baptist Church (6564 Hollywood Rd, Appomattox, VA 24522).
