He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Bartley Shaffer; his parents, Madeline Moore and Harley Roscoe Shaffer, Sr.; and his son Larry Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Karin D. Robertson (Curt), Waylon Shaffer and Emily Shaffer; his grandchildren, Gavyn Robertson and Makenna Robertson; and his siblings, Elmer Shaffer, Lynn Shaffer, Joyce Reed and Salome Whitbey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
