He was predeceased by: his brothers, Steve and Warren Martin. He is survived by: his wife Josephine G. "Jo" Martin; his brother Ronnie Martin; his goddaughter Mackenzie Bobbitt; and his close friends, Cecil and Cindy Bobbitt.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, the Drewry Volunteer Fire Department or to a Hospice Organization.
