He was predeceased by : his parents, John Thomas Hunter, Sr. and Frances Snell Hunter; and his brother Frank E. "Frankie" Hunter. He is survived by : his children, Ann Pierce Bradshaw (Josh) and James Nathan Hunter (Kelsey); his siblings, John T. Hunter, Jr. (Debra), Margaret H. Conner (Lee) of Appomattox and Anne H. Dixon (John) of Appomattox; and his grandchildren, Grayson and Keatyn.
