Joel Preston Ferguson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joel Preston Ferguson of Appomattox, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lizzie Morris Ferguson and Evans Roger Ferguson; his siblings, Lowell Thomas Ferguson, Ralph "Blinkie" Ferguson, Curtis David Ferguson, Larry Wayne "Country" Ferguson, Kathy F. Monroe and Linda F. Gallier; and his close friend Eddie "Hoo Hoo" Ferguson (Preston).
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Chandler (Tony) and Michael Dwayne Ferguson of Appomattox; his sister Nancy F. Almond of Concord; his grandsons, Brent Franklin, Joshua Franklin (Rachel) and Blake Chandler; and his great grandchildren, Brentlee, Avery, Denver and Grace. He is also survived by companion "Pup"; and numerous nieces and nephews.
