He was predeceased by: his spouse Evangelin "Lin" Arthur Maxwell; his parents, Graydon C. Maxwell, Sr. and Lucille Ramsey Maxwell; and his siblings, William Forrest Maxwell, Joseph Maxwell, Graydon Maxwell, Jr., Douglas M. Maxwell, Barry Gray Maxwell, Marie Maxwell and Virginia Davenport.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Maxwell-Jones (Chris), Thomas Christopher Maxwell (Lauren) and Whitney Maxwell; his grandchildren, Alexis Maxwell-Jones Ottey (R. J.), Tristan Maxwell-Jones, Sutter Maxwell, Lane Maxwell, Ellery Sullivan and Noah Jones; his great grandchild Abraham Ottey; his siblings, Rev. Wilbur G. Maxwell (Dot) of Pageland, SC, Robert A. Maxwell of Appomattox and Mary Layne of Charlotte; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Maxwell and Mildred Maxwell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
