He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thompson and Nellie Thompson; and his son-in-law Robert Eagle. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn "Sissy" Thompson; his children, Dean (Debbie Thompson) and Dana (Keith Layne); his grandson David; his children, Erin (Derick), Jacob, Lauren, Caleb, Wyatt, Josh, Gabe, Jayden and Noah; his great grandchild Annslee; his pet Nelli Jean; his siblings, Nancy (Joe George), Janice (Kenny Smith) and Frankie Thompson; and his nephew Norman Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a cause close to their hearts.
