He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Smith Jamerson and James Everette Jamerson; his grandson Byron Lee Jamerson; his brother James Robert "Bob" Jamerson (Victoria); and his brother-in-law John O. Harrison.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Paulette Jamerson; his sons, William Edward "Ed" Jamerson, Jr. of Old Lyme and Phillip Jamerson (Terry Hall Jamerson) of Appomattox; his grandchildren, William Trevor Jamerson (Komal), Brittney Diane Jamerson (Matt) and Melissa Anne Jamerson (Kenny); his great grandchildren, Liam, Clifton and Remy; and his sister Mary Lou Harrison of Appomattox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
