She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack W. Gates and Kathryn Collins Gates. She is survived by: her husband Quinton Junior Stanley; her daughter Amanda Stanley Dezern (Sean); her grandsons, Walker Bowman (Suzanna) and Brady Anderson (McKinley Turner); her stepgrandchildren, JonAustin Dezern (Emily) and Janson Dezern; her sister Lori Gates Puckett (Randy); and her cousin Betty Snow.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (6201 Claudville Hwy, Claudville, VA 24076). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery (903 Doe Run Rd, Ararat, VA 24053).
