He is survived by: his wife Rita Stanley Atkins; his children, Deean (Darrell Patterson), Jana Torres, Amy (Armando Torres) and Nathan (Erica Atkins); and his siblings, Edie Gammons and Gurney Atkins. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
