With sadness, we share the passing of Angeline Chang Barnes of Arlington, Virginia. Angeline, born on September 6, 1946, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pei Yang Chang and Rose Yuen Chang; her siblings-in-law, Ted Buttner and Alice Spruance; her niece Bonnie Budd; and her mother-in-law Alice Otto Barnes.

She is survived by: her daughter Alice Rose Tewell; her son-in-law Adam Wendell Tewell; her grandchildren, Christopher Chang and Rose Victoria Tewell; her friend Dan Leighton; her sisters, Theresa Kuo, Rosemary Chang and Christine Chang Weeks (Gary); her nieces and nephews, Mimi Rose Kuo (Willard Hong), Evans Kuo (Hope), Jeremy Kuo (Jennifer Vittori), Madeline Rose Chang (Alan) and Alec John Weeks (Nicole Elizabeth Na); her great-nieces, Zoe Hong, Zelda Vittori-Kuo and Robin Na-Weeks; her great-nephew Enzo Vittori-Kuo; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Budd (Michael Quarry) and Nancy Kreider.

As soon as the first COVID vaccines became available, she joined the COVID response team with the Arlington County Medical Response Team (MRT) serving in the vaccination clinic.
