She was predeceased by: her parents, John Scott and Emma Byrd Scott; and her brother-in-law James Frye. She is survived by: her husband Deacon Willis Frye, Jr.; her children, Brian Scott (Sonja Peyton-Scott), Alicia Frye, Crystal Frye and Arnie Holmes; her grandchildren, Deion Frye, Sydney Scott, Brianna Martin, Blair Scott, Nehemiah Frye and Rasheed Barnes; her siblings, Bernice Lumpkin, William Scott (Sharon) and Marian Mayer; her in-laws, John Burnett (Edith), Betty Frye and William Frye (Theresa); and her friends, Patricia Brown-Glover, Carolyn White and Veronica Urzetta Lewis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
