We announce the death of Chester Smith Jr. in Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 79. Chester will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Doshie Mae Evans and Chester Roland Smith; his wife Bonnie; his sons, Todd Smith (Jennifer) and Michael Smith (Regina); his grandchildren, Parker, Madison, Emily, Reagan and Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Rory and Parker Jane; and his sisters, Anne (Laurie) and Deb (James). He was also cherished by many extended family members, dear friends.
