With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Brooking Parrish of Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert James Brooking and Edna Blair Hicks Brooking; her husband William Dabney Parrish, Sr.; her son William Dabney Parrish, Jr.; her granddaughter Mary Burke Parker; and her brother Herbert J. Brooking, Jr. (Buddy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda Sue Cottrell, Kathryn Lynne Parker and Mary Alice Passagaluppi; her sons-in-law, Preston H. Cottrell, Nathan Parker, III and William Thomas Passagaluppi; her grandchildren, Nathan Parker IV (Jocelyn), Matthew Dabney Parker (Hannah), William Preston Parrish (Cali), Holland Parrish Whitt (Daniel), Blair Passagaluppi Mundie (Thomas) and Kathryn Passagaluppi Webb (Wayne); and her great grandchildren, Sarah Lynne Parker, Mary Atwell Mundie, Brianna Grace Parker, Mary Spencer Whitt, William Bayton Mundie, Burke Lee Parker, Kathryn Adair Webb, James Holland Whitt and Parrish Fleete Parker.
