He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Holcomb Vandyke; his parents, Berlin Vandyke and Helen Vandyke; his siblings, Ann Ratliff, Bobby Vandyke and Tommy Vandyke; and his sister-in-law Trish Vandyke.
He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Vandyke; his stepdaughter Anne Martin (Ryan); his siblings, Sue Ratliff (Ray), Brenda Miller (Jimmy) and Paul Vandyke (Barb); and his grandchildren, Kenny Hart, II, Aiden Earl, Troy Beach, Ashlyn Weedon and Della Weedon.
