He was predeceased by: his parents, Shaheen Joe Milton and Emma Hayes Milton; his wife Symantha Davidson Milton (Sammie); his siblings, Mary Milton Miller (Alton), Emerson "Og" Milton, Helen Milton Moore (Robert) and Joe Milton, Jr. (Nita); and his nephews, David Miller, Charles Miller and John Miller.

He is survived by: his sibling's children, Jerry Miller, Carole Steen, Joe Miller, Ronnie Miller, Steve Miller, Christina Stenholm and Mary Beth Henderson.
