He is survived by : his parents, Luz Marina Rodriguez Portillo of Arlington and Tony Ronaldo Chavarria Velásquez of El Salvador; his siblings, Tony Ronaldo Chavarria Rodriguez, Larizza Gabriela Chavarria Rodriguez, Yuri Emerald Chavarria, Brenda Aracely Chavarria, Glenda Elizabeth Chavarria Dominguez and Anthony Ronaldo Chavarria Dominguez; his grandparents, Sonia Estela Portillo Lopez and Ernesto Antonio Rodrigues Soliz; his nephew Jonathan Ronald Chavarria Amaya; his cousin Alexandra Rodriguez; and his close friends, Nick Alejandro Coleman and Marisol Queen.

He had been recognized throughout his academic years for his helpfulness and contributions to the community.
