He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio Garcia and Maria Elena Garcia; his siblings, Cristo Avel Garcia, Manuel Garcia and Luz Margarita Gonzalez; and his nephew Nelson Gonzalez.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Garcia Ferrufino; his children, Evelyn Rumberg (Steve), Cristian Garcia (Lizzette), Erica McGhee (Jarius), Cindy Garcia and Mark Garcia (Danielle); his siblings, Ignasio Garcia and Susana Garcia; and his grandchildren, Anthony Garcia (Shayla), Tanya Garcia, Lucas Garcia, Jarius McGhee, Malik McGhee, Ariana McGhee, Rue and Athena.
