She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Logan Apperson; and her parents, Lula Poore Timberlake and Herbert A. Timberlake. She is survived by: her children, Ellen Mandell (Steve) and Charles B. Apperson (Ruriko); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hatton (Kyle), Christopher Mandell (Ashley) and Tabitha Cooke (Joshua). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
