She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Walraven and William Smith; her husband Theodore "Ted" Nelson (Ted); her siblings, William Smith, Jr. and Wiladean Smith; and her stepbrother Homer Brown.
She is survived by: her son Michael Nelson (Bridget); her grandchildren, Michael Nelson Jr. (Claudia), Tiffany Nelson, Cora Nelson and Harper Nelson; her great grandchildren, Lucy Nelson, Quinn Wright and Bliss Moreno; and her sister Geraldine Wilson. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
