We announce the death of Nancy Ann Lynn Dakin of Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 91. Nancy Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Lynn and Lester Lynn. She is survived by: her children, Patty Kolb, Bonnie Cragle, Nancy Hickman (Tina), Linda Church, Ernest Dakin III (Ernie) and Robert Dakin; and her husband Ernest Dakin Jr. (Ernie). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Storke Funeral Home (131 3rd St, Colonial Beach, VA 22443). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Community Church (6731 Beulah St, Franconia, VA 22310). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Mount Comfort Cemetery (6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306).
