She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Elwin H. Copeland and Grace Hindmarsh Copeland; and her sister Kay Copeland Cusson. She is survived by: her husband Wilbur Willis Slaughter, Jr.; her children, Laura Slaughter Bravo (Gustavo) and Wil Slaughter (Carter); her granddaughters, Sydney Slaughter Bravo and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Slaughter; and her niece Monique Cusson Dakolias.
