He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ray Shelton, Sr. and Mary Margaret Davis Shelton. He is survived by: his daughters, Amelia Bright Shelton and Laurel Ray Shelton; the mother of his children Carrie Anne Shelton; his siblings, Charlotte Jean Shelton, Ernest Ray Shelton, Jr. (Chuck) and William Chesley Shelton (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Goodman Shelton and Cynthia Trusilo Shelton. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
