She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Pitts and Lottie Garnett; her son Jesse "JJ" Nuckols; and her partner Jerry Beazley. She is survived by: her daughter Candice McLean (Charles "Chip" McLean); her grandchildren, Roan McLean (Cole Jorissen), Tate McLean (Gabriel Hain), Connor McLean and Carys McLean; and her sisters, Shirley Henderson, Robin Troise (William Troise) and Norma Jean Adkins (JP Adkins).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Storke Funeral Home (111 S Main St, Bowling Green, VA 22427). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Children's Hospital Foundation. Gifts may be mailed by making checks or money orders payable to Children's Hospital Foundation and sending them to Box 980693, Richmond, VA 23298.
