He is survived by: his children, Rachel Taylor and Shawn Taylor; his significant other Lois "Katie" Davis; his siblings, Betty Newman (Jack) of Cumberland and Donnie Gormus of Arvonia; his aunts and uncles, Lewis Taylor, Matt Jr. Taylor (Katie), Minnie Stone (JT) of Dillwyn and Mary Sue Taylor of Dillwyn; his nephew Jason Sutton; his great-nephews, Landon of Cumberland and Preston of Cumberland; and his friends, David and Cindy Davies. He is also survived by cousins and many additional family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at the Rocky Mount Church Cemetery (348 Rocky Mountain Rd, Dillwyn, VA 23936).
