He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Padgett and Margaret Padgett; and his wife Gwen Padgett. He is survived by: his sons, Donald F. Padgett (Valerie) of Reston, VA and Michael R. Padgett (Teresa) of Orange County, VA; his brothers, Keith and Kevin Padgett; his granddaughters, Rachael Padgett, Sarah Padgett and Amanda Mothershead; his great grandchildren, George III, Jackson and Jolene; his granddaughters, Courtney Harcrow and Haley Casao; and his great grandchild Noah.

In lieu of flowers, Don's family asks that contributions be made to the Adler Center for Caring Legacy Fund, 24419 Millstream Drive, Aldie, VA 20150.

“I worked in the Starter Shack at Twin Lakes in the late 90’s and Don was our coordinator. We spent a lot of time talking about our families, friends and experiences living in Alexandria. Don got me to join the Sandbaggers and I got to know a lot of golfers some of whom actually lived in my community, Longwood Knolls. Don was a good friend and we will all miss him.”
