It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria-Teresa Sanchez (Ashburn, Virginia), who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Maria-Teresa leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her father Fidel Azócar Zuniga; her former husband Fernando Martínez Horment; her husband Alberto Sánchez; and her brother Patricio Fidel Azócar Grado. She is survived by: her mother Olga Grado Piderit; and her children, Verónica Martínez, Fernando Martínez (Valerie Bise), Cristián Martínez (Karen Martinez) and María Paz Martínez Teyssier (Christopher Broering). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
