He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Whitcomb and Charles Peck Lyford; and his sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn. He is survived by: his daughter Grampy; his wife Ellen Loraine Blue of Brownville Junction, Maine.; his daughters, Carolyn Lyford Sullivan (Jeanne) of Ashburn and Jeanne Lyford Lambert; his son-in-law Marc Lambert of Falmouth, Maine; his grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Lydia Sullivan, Jonathan and Gregory Lambert; his nieces and nephews, Barry (Judy), David Dennett (Vivian), Roddy, Malcolm Blue, Susan Watson, Jane Fennessey, Debbie Blue, Karen Blue and Elizabeth Blue Whitney; and his sister-in-law Una Blue.
He lovingly took care of Ellen during her 9 year illness with Alzheimer's Disease.
