He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cowden and Theresa Cowden. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann (Cummings); his sons, Kevin Cowden (Gayle) of Sterling, VA, Bobby Cowden (Cathleen) of Ashburn, VA and Christopher Cowden (Courtney) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ian, Audrey and Colsen; his siblings, Bernie (Judy) and Maureen; and his sister-in-law Ruth Thomas (Roland). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
