He was predeceased by: his parents, David Phillips and Josephine Phillips; and his wife Marie Estelle Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Lee Phillips (Kim), Tod Phillips (Tracy) and Matt Phillips (Kate); his grandchildren, Molly Godfrey (Matt), Mitch Phillips, Josephine Phillips, Olivia Phillips and Benjamin Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Anna Godfrey and Julia Godfrey.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farmwell Hall Chapel - Ashby Ponds (44734 Audubon Square, Ashburn, VA 20147). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Arlington National Cemetery.
