He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Jones and Savannah Jones; and his sisters, Martha Ann Harris and Eloise Delores Lewis. He is survived by: his children, Kennie Jones, Jr. (Emily) and Uconia Jones (Al-Jamar); his grandchildren, Elaani Johnson, Kalayshia Jones, Ja'Nela Jenkins, Adrian Jenkins, My'lah Jones, Mariah Jones, Akari Johnson and Al-Jamar Jenkins Jr.; his siblings, Gladys Coleman and Allen Jones Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Valerie Pryor (Phillip) and Samuel "Chubby" Lewis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brown Grove Baptist Church (9328 Ashcake Rd, Ashland, VA 23005). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at the Jones Family Cemetery.
