She was predeceased by: her children, Cheryl and Richard Thomas; her parents, James Sr. Thomas and Hattie Thomas; and her siblings, James Jr. and Edna Lewis.

She is survived by: her son Keith Thomas; her grandchildren, Lakisha (Tracey), ShaJuan, Shawn, Kevin, Ke'Asia, Donte', Doneka, Tiarah Thomas and Kiara Jenigan (Anthony); her siblings, Rose Smith, Mary Thomas, Marva Thomas, Bessie Thomas, Brenda White (Charles), Wanda Reynolds (Tony), Andrew Thomas, Jonnie Thomas (Barbara), Earnest Thomas, Darryl Thomas (Roslind), Alton Thomas (Donna) and Reggie Thomas (Deeya); and her brother-in-law George Lewis. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
