He is survived by: his parents, Sam Stone and Kerrie Stone; his siblings, Carson Stone and Libbie Stone; his grandparents, Frank, Sally Stone, Ashby and Peggy Tinsley; his uncles, Chris (Pam Tinsley), Tim (Melissa Tinsley), Rick (Suzanne Tinsley) and Mike (Tina Berry); his cousins, Jason, Chelsea, Laura, Trey, Stephanie, Logan, Frank, Ryan, Justin, Jamie, Brent, Rebecca, Lesley, Mike, Reid and Caitlin; and his close friend Joe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to two of Matt's favorite places: Berea Baptist Church, P.O. Box 280, Rockville, Va. 23146 or The Riverside School, 2110 McRae Road, North Chesterfield, Va. 23235.
