He is survived by: his son Jerel Blackwell, Sr. (Shari) of Prince George, VA; his grandchildren, Julian Blackwell-Davis (Shay) of Chesapeake, VA, Jerel, Jr., Evan and Jhalyne Blackwell of Prince George, VA; his great grandchild Melody Blackwell-Davis; his brother Gus Blackwell Sr. (Shirley) of Blackstone, VA; his daughter Sylvia Battle (Ron) of Richmond, VA.; his nieces, Margie Godfrey, Angela Mattison (Booker) and Maurisa Hilliard (Ricky Wilson); and his nephew Gus Blackwell Jr. (LaShawn). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
