He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie C. West Jr. and Pauline P. West; and his brother David L. West. He is survived by: his daughter Chelsea Smith (Mezel); his grandson Roman Smith; and his siblings, William West (Carol) and Mary C. West (Susie). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
