It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail B. McCord (Atkins, Virginia), born in Bluefield, Virginia, who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Easley Bailey; and her siblings, Una B. Watson (Clyde), Doris Mitchem and Elmo "Sonny" Bailey (Irene). She is survived by : her husband Ronald L. McCord of Marion; her children, Sandra Kay Yonts (James, Jr.) of Marion and Ronald L. McCord, Jr. (Laurice) of Knoxville, Tenn.; her siblings, Glenna Nelson (Max) of Huntington, W. Va, Deloris "Boots" Poff of Bluefield and Richard R. Bailey (Lynda) of Eden, N. C.; her grandchildren, James Yonts, III, Christopher Yonts, Jason Yonts, Meagan Waddell, Austin McCord and Emalee McCord; and her great grandchildren, Grayson Yonts, Sophia Yonts, Elijah Crone and Emerald Crone. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
