He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Boardwine and Minnie Boardwine; his brother Gerald Boardwine; the mother of his children Kathy Boardwine; his brother Jesse Helton; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph and David Hall.
He is survived by: his sons, Dewayne (Tammy), Tim (Dana) and Tommy (Brandi); his grandchildren, Austin (Breanna), Brooklynn, Ethan, Emma and Eli; his great grandchildren, Colton and Joshua; his siblings, David (Zelma) and Lois Combs (Randall); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Shanks, Connie Blizzard (Charlie), Barbara and Linda Hall. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
