It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thornton Sexton of Atkins, Virginia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sexton and Mamie Greer Sexton; his siblings, Betty Louise, Leona Darlene, Nancy Ellen, Arthur Junior, James Clifton, Archie Lee, Troy Jefferson and Richard Dale; and his father-in-law Ralph Placencia.
He is survived by: his wife Star Sexton; his son Thornton R. (Sexton); his sisters, Charity Marie Autry and Jaqueline Ellison; his mother-in-law Joan Placencia; his stepson Frankie Diaz, Jr.; his sister-in-law Sandra Dreibelbis (Scott); his nieces and nephews, Briar, Rylie, Alex and Dylan; and his close friends, Tims Oakes and Teisha Oakes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
