It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hattie Martha Duprey (Austinville, Virginia), who passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jackson and Lucy Jackson; her sister Margaret Ann Barton; her husband Charles R. Duprey Sr.; and her friend Betty Bryant.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles R. Duprey, Jr., Kevin Duprey (Millicent) and Keith Duprey (Mike Wiegert); her grandchildren, Hunter Duprey, Meris Duprey, William Wiegert and Whitney Duprey Berg; her cousin Jackie Cregger; and her friend Patsey Underwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Hattie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Vietnam Veterans of America, reflecting her lifelong belief in supporting the armed service, loving and supporting children, and generosity giving to those in need.
