He is survived by: his wife Brenda Parcell Lawson; his children, Jenna Carawan (Drew) and Dylan Lawson (Brooke); his grandchildren, Natalie, Elijah, Juliette and Whittyn; and his sisters, Anita Carter (Bruce), Lori Colemen (Wes), Rhonda East (Bobby), Donna Shough (Donnie) and Tammy Fain (Doug).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freedom Baptist Church (790 Irisburg Rd, Axton, VA 24054). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
